During a conversation with Grazia India, Janhvi Kapoor broke down how she reads online comments. Janhvi Kapoor believes creators often focus on reach instead of fairness. According to Janhvi Kapoor, many users chase virality and turn celebrities into easy material for content.

Speaking about this pattern, Janhvi Kapoor said, "From what I understand about social media culture, is that everyone wants prominence, views and virality, so if they are making content about you, you're just a scapegoat, they're just using your name for clickbait, rage bait and whatever else it is to further their engagement."

Janhvi Kapoor added that once this motive became clear, the remarks felt less personal. She said, "That's the only purpose you serve, and once you look at it from that lens, you understand that what they're saying about you has nothing to do with you. Then you start taking that less to your heart".

Janhvi Kapoor also addressed how paid positive and negative campaigns operate on social platforms. Janhvi Kapoor said these tactics are transactional, and not worth deep emotional investment. Still, Janhvi Kapoor noted that things change when criticism turns cruel, especially with Arjun Kapoor’s experience.

Reflecting on the larger noise around stars, Janhvi Kapoor said, "Everyone's doing what they have to, sab ghar chalane ki koshish kar rahe hai. You need to be transactional – nothing is that deep. It's stupid to occupy your brain for more than five minutes with this. Of course, it hurts to feel misunderstood or when it turns into bullying and harassment, the way I've seen happen with my brother sometimes and there's no excuse for that kind of behaviour. Negativity fuels negativity and you just have to remove yourself from it," she said.

Arjun Kapoor has earlier spoken about being targeted by severe online trolling, which Arjun Kapoor has called unfair and driven by "clickbait" culture. The recent remarks from Janhvi Kapoor highlight how this pattern has affected Arjun Kapoor and those close to Arjun Kapoor.
