Exclusive: Seema Sajdeh Reveals Ex-Husband Sohail Khan Is Still Her 'Family' Despite Divorce
In a candid conversation with Filmibeat's Hesha Chimah, Seema Sajdeh opened up about life after divorce and the societal assumptions attached to separated couples. The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives star reflected on how society often expects ex-partners to become bitter enemies after ending a marriage.
Questioning these traditional norms, Seema shared that relationships do not always have to turn negative after divorce. Despite separating from Sohail Khan, she revealed that she still considers him "family," highlighting the importance of mutual respect and emotional understanding even after moving on separately.
"I was married to the man for over 20 years, I do share two children with him, he is the father of my children and we are always going to be a family, that is the reality of my life, why can't people understand that? So it's like you know, people just assume that when you get a divorce, you have to be enemies. Hello, no divorce is pretty, everybody goes through their phases of that, you have to come to terms with the grief and anger is a part of it."
She continued, "But eventually everybody finds their rhythm and we have two children together and whether we like it or not, we are going to be a family forever So I find it very strange when people say, they are together, they are being nice to one another they are talking to each other so nicely, what should I do? Take a stab? Honestly, Sohail and I are absolutely fine, we are co-parenting beautifully, we love our boys and I mean, we are forever going to be, Yohan and Nirvan, that's their father and I am their mother and I was married in that family for over 20 years, nearly 25 years."
