Ek Din Budget, Box Office Target: Here’s How Much Junaid-Sai’s Ek Din Should Earn To Become HIT - EXCL
Ek Din Box Office Target Exclusive: After the disastrous response to Ginny Wedss Sunny 2 last week, Bollywood is set to witness the release of another romantic drama, Ek Din. Produced by Aamir Khan Productions and directed by Sunil Pandey, the film marks Sai Pallavi's Bollywood debut opposite Junaid Khan.

An official remake of the 2016 Thai film One Day, Ek Din has finally hit the theatres today (May 1) and is going to compete against Hollywood biggie The Devil Wears Prada 2 and Riteish Deshmukh starrer Raja Shivaji. As the film is releasing amid low buzz, it'll be interesting to see how it will fare at the ticket window when Dhurandhar 2, Bhooth Bangla, and Michael are already dominating the box office.
EK DIN OVERVIEW: BUDGET, PLOT & WHAT TO EXPECT
The film follows Dinesh Kumar Srivastav, also known as Dino, a socially awkward man who quietly harbours feelings for his colleague, Meera. Unable to gather the courage to confess, Dino makes a heartfelt wish during an office trip-that Meera could be his girlfriend for just one day.
What unfolds next is a poignant blend of emotion and magic, as an unexpected twist alters the course of both their lives. Set against a distinctive backdrop, the narrative weaves romance with subtle fantasy elements, striking a balance between heartfelt moments and dramatic storytelling.
Besides Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi, the film also features Kunal Kapoor, Kavin Dave, and others in important roles.
Ek Din has received a UA 13+ certification, making it suitable for audiences aged 13 and above. The film runs for 2 hours, 5 minutes, and 22 seconds, aligning with the typical duration of a romantic drama.
Filmibeat recently spoke with trade analyst Rohit Jaiswal to gain insights into the box office potential of Ek Din. Talking about its budget, the trade analyst said, "The budget of Ek Din is around Rs 15-16 crore."
EK DIN BOX OFFICE TARGET UPDATE
Talking about the box-office target for Ek Din, Rohit didn't give a specific figure but said there's hardly any buzz around the film, and it's likely to be a disaster at the box office.
However, if we keep its budget in mind, the film should earn at least Rs 20 crore to avoid the flop tag, which looks impossible if we look at the current scenario.
