Reports indicate that Dhanush is set to lead Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next Hindi film, a large-scale mythological drama set largely in a jungle. The film, directed by Tamil filmmaker PS Mithran, is expected to start shooting in early 2027, once planning is complete and schedules align for everyone involved.

The Variety report states that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has chosen a jungle backdrop for this mythological story and has locked Dhanush as the main lead. The script reportedly went through several rewrites before being cleared a few months ago. Ram Charan was earlier discussed for the role, but talks did not move ahead, and Dhanush finally came on board.
