A Story That Refused To Die: A Documentary On Irrfan Khan’s Unseen Paan Singh Tomar Footage

Marking the 6th death anniversary of Irrfan Khan, Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre presented A Story That Refused to Die, a documentary directed by Ranjeeta Kaur, unveiling rare and unseen moments from the making of Paan Singh Tomar.

The documentary screening was attended by legends like Imtiaz Ali, Shoojit Sircar, Vishal Bhardwaj, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Deepak Dobriyal, along with Irrfan Khan's family, Sutapa Sikdar, Babil Khan, Ayaan Khan and several others. Sharing their thoughts, director Vishal Bhardwaj mentioned, "It's a beautiful film on the making of Paan Singh Tomar, kitni hardships mein film bani vo dekha gaya. There is so much so much in the documentary that I loved and I want everyone to see this film."

Director Shoojit Sircar expressed, "I was absolutely glued into this documentary, dekh raha tha beth ke, kitna maza aa raha tha." Deepak Dobriyal mentioned, "Respect se jayada pyaar hai Irrfan Bhai ke liye, jo aaj itne jyada log aaye, itni digaj kalakar aaye... Irrfan bhai ko phir se samne laane ke liye Ranjeeta ji ko bahut bahut shukriya." Manu Rishi added, "aur inn hisson ko jod ke rakhna Ranjeeta ka, I think ye log nahi, ye jab bhi log dekhene, jo bhi dekhenge, vo aabhaari hoga yaar."

Imtiaz Ali shared, "It was very interesting to see the work of a movie which is so legendary. I congratulate the team that has made this wonderful documentary and I wish more and more people watch it."
