Ever since Aamir Khan's next project, Thugs Of Hindostan, has been officially announced, the movie is constantly in the buzz! Firstly, owing to the never seen before 'jodi' of Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan and secondly, the casting of the actress.
Initially, many names including Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan were in the rumours but a few days, the makers of the film zoomed in on Fatima Sana Shaikh, thanks to Aamir Khan. But is Aditya Chopra happy?

A source close to the project, revealed to a leading daily, "Nobody was surprised when Fatima Sana Shaikh was signed opposite Aamir Khan in Thugs Of Hindostan."
Initially, Many Big Names Were In Talks
"While a few top actresses including Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and even Vaani Kapoor were in talks to do the film, most of them, save Vaani, weren't so keen once they heard the fee for the film, especially when Aamir was being given his market price and more."
Aditya Wanted Them To Sign The Film Almost For Free
"The actresses had loved the script as it revolved around the female protagonist taking revenge but the talks fizzled out when they realised that Aditya Chopra wanted them to sign the film almost for free."
It Was Vaani VS Fatima
"There was a discussion whether Vaani or Fatima suited the role better - the latter was Aamir's choice and the former Adi's. Eventually, Aamir had his way."

Talking about Fatima's selection in Thugs Of Hindostan, director Vijay Krishna Acharya said, "The role of the girl is pivotal to the film so it was crucial for us to find the perfect fit."
"Through a rigorous round of auditions and action workshops, we found in Fatima a truly dedicated actor and a gifted performer of the action. We are very happy to have found the perfect girl for our film."

As far as the shooting of the film is concerned, it will commence from June 1, 2017, and will release by Diwali 2018.
